As a temporary worker with us, you decide when you want to be booked for work and to what extent you can work.

The Meal Unit is responsible for the public meals of Lindesberg Municipality and is organized within the Municipal Executive Administration. We prepare and serve food to all preschools, schools, and special accommodations operated by the municipality. Today, the Meal Unit consists of 22 kitchen units and employs 70 staff members.

Our operations are within preschool, primary school, high school, and elderly care, and our workplaces vary in size, allowing you to work both independently and in teams. You will participate in food preparation as well as serving and interacting with our guests. Our workplaces are located in several areas of Lindesberg Municipality, which means you will get to work in different places. The advantage of this is that you will see several operations, meet many people, and learn more!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will participate in the preparation of food and salad. You will also work in the serving area, welcoming and serving our guests. Dishwashing and cleaning are also part of the job responsibilities. If you work as a cook, it may include making food orders, being responsible for special diets, and self-control. In most of our workplaces, you will work together with colleagues, but in some kitchens, you may work independently. As a newcomer, you will, of course, receive an introduction from experienced colleagues to learn the job.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has at least completed high school education and has training in restaurant and large-scale catering. Previous work experience in the field is an advantage for the position.

It is important that you are flexible, service-oriented, and work well with others. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

You must have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

It is a great advantage if you have a B driver's license and access to your own car to travel between different workplaces.
